DESCRIPTION:Moderated by Guitemie Maldonado\, with artist duo Marie He
 rvé and Elsa Martinez\, Jean-Christophe Bailly and Érik Desmazières. P
 hotography and drawing: two mediums that\, at first glance\, seem to b
 e polar opposites. Whilst one involves the physicality of the gesture\
 , the other focuses on the visual. Yet drawing\, through its connectio
 ns with printing techniques such as screen printing\, engraving\, lith
 ography and risography\, comes significantly closer to the realm of ph
 otography. Similarly\, when photography also draws on traditional repr
 oduction techniques\, its results tend noticeably towards drawing. The
 se surprising shifts between photography and drawing\, which stem from
  the widespread use of these reproduction techniques today\, will be d
 iscussed during this round table\, which brings together a leading fig
 ure in engraving\, Erik Desmazières\, a renowned philosopher\, Jean-Ch
 ristophe Bailly\, to discuss the lithographic work of Gilles Aillaud\,
  and a young artist duo\, Marie Hervé and Elsa Martinez. Free admissio
