Église Saint-Blaise

Located near the Mourgues tower, in the south-east of Arles, Saint-Blaise church dominates the ancient city walls. This monastic chapel is part of the ancient monastery founded by Saint Césaire in the 6th century, making it of interest to historians and archaeologists alike. Fallen into disuse during the French Revolution, it was used for various purposes (such as a cabaret and funeral parlour) before being restored in 1972 and 1982. Today, it is recognised as a heritage site of major interest.
