Muzo
Muzo
1960, Rennes.
His real name is Jean-Philippe Masson. In 1980, he collaborated with Jean-François Duval, known as Placid, to publish a fanzine that caused quite a stir: Le Journal de Placid et Muzo. From then on, he published regularly, notably in Charlie Mensuel, Hara-Kiri, Libération, and Le Monde. He uses his distinctive style, which is both precise and nonchalant, to craft mischievous humour that flirts with the poetic and the absurd. He has published around fifty books ranging from collections of sketches, works for the general public alongside the psychiatrist Christophe André, artist’s books and underground publications.
